 Friday night found Jake Knowles in action at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) competing in the Sportsman 602 ranks for the two-day Gobbler. After timing in third fastest overall in a field of 39 cars, Jake scored a runner-up finish in his heat behind Jamie Perry, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for Saturday night’s $3,000-to-win A-Main.
Breaking into a podium position, Knowles charged forward four spots in the 40-lapper to place third behind Booger Brooks and Jamie Perry with Cade Brookshire and Sawyer Tinker rounding out the Top-5.
