Jake Knowles was one of 19 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series entries on hand at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the Smoky Mountain Moonshine Classic. Following 13th fastest time in qualifying, Knowles captured an 8-lap consolation victory locking his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main. The following night Jake hopped behind the wheel of his Super Late Model for the Independence Day Celebration at Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia). After coming in seventh fastest in time trials, Jake gained five spots in the 40-lap feature to place 2nd behind Austin Horton with Tyler Millwood, Derek Ellis, and Donald McIntosh rounding out the Top-5. Saturday night found Jake Knowles in action at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) for the Bill Ingram Memorial. After topping the charts in hot laps, Knowles came in 12th fastest in time trials which locked him on the sixth row for the A-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Jake jumped up two spots to place 10th.
