July 28, 2018 - Top 5 Finish With DLCS at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park
Jake Knowles followed the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series to Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tennessee) on Friday night for the $2,000 top prize. In a field of 35 cars, Knowles locked his spot into the opening night feature with the fourth fastest time in his qualifying group. Slated to roll off 8th, Mother Nature made an apperance shortly after qualifying was finished washing the rest of the night out.

On Saturday night at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park (Blue Ridge, Georgia), Knowles timed in 11th fastest in his group transferring him into the B-Main. Needing to place in the Top 5, Jake landed a 2nd place finish behind Tyler Wood positioning him 13th on the starting grid for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top 5, Jake Knowles jumped up eight spots reeling in a 5th place finish behind Ashton Winger, Greg Martin, Cory Hedgecock, and Andy Picklesimer.

July 22, 2018 - Knowles Visits Southern Nationals Show at Rome Speedway
After Mother Nature wiped out the Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series sanctioned weekend, Jake Knowles visited Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) on Sunday powering the Buster Gross-owned #24 Super Late Model for the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series. With 29 cars on hand for the sixth stop of the tour, Knowles logged the 13th fastest time in his qualifying group sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the $5,300-to-win A-Main. Needing to place in the Top-5, Jake suffered a flat-tire early that brought an early end to his night.

July 3, 2018 - Jake Knowles Holds Off Hedgecock to Capture Fifth Win of the Season

For the third round of the Salute to America Nationals, Jake Knowles visited Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on Tuesday night competing in a stout field of 44 Durrence Layne Chevrolet Series entries.  Registering the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Knowles locked into the 4th-starting position for the A-Main. Slipping past race-leader Sam Seawright on lap-15, Jake held off hard-charging Cory Hedgecock in the final laps to score his fifth win of the season and a $2,500 payday. Hedgecock, Chase Walls, Sam Seawright, and Will Roland completed the Top-5 finishers in the 50-lap affair. (Sam Seawright photo)
