October 29, 2017 - 3rd Place Finish in Showdown Shootout at Senoia Raceway
Kicking off the Showdown Shootout, Jake Knowles visited Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Georgia) on Friday night competing in the Crate Late Model division. Following the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Knowles slipped up one spot late in the A-Main to place 3rd behind Michael Page and Riley Hickman with Michael Courtney and Matt Black completing the Top 5 finishers.

After Mother Nature postponed the event one day, Knowles headed to Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) on Sunday for the Craig Reece Memorial. With 35 Crate Late Models signed in, Jake logged the 13th fastest time in qualifying transferring him into the B-Main. Rolling off 3rd, Knowles jumped up one spot to place 2nd behind Jesse Lowe earning him the 11th-starting position for the $3,500-to-win A-Main. After breaking into the Top 10, Jake got stuck behind tangle following a restart giving him nowhere to go. Being sent to the rear after spinning out, Jake Knowles reeled in an 18th place outing in the remaining laps.

October 14, 2017 - Podium Finish With NeSmith Series at Talledega
Friday evening found Jake Knowles back in action at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series doubleheader. With 41 Super Late Models signed in for NASCAR weekend, Knowles timed in seventh fastest in his qualifying group sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 7 into the opening night feature, Jake posted a runner-up finish behind Jimmy Elliott positioning him 11th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Breaking into the Top 10, Knowles improved four spots logging a 7th place finish.

1Returning on Saturday night, Jake laid down the third fastest time in his qualifying group earning him the 6th-starting position for the $2,500-to-win finale. Improving three positions in the 50-lap affair, Jake Knowles scored a 3rd place finish behind Riley Hickman and Grant Garrison with Ronnie Johnson and Cruz Skinner completing the Top 5 finishers.
