June 3, 2017 - Pair of Podium Finishes in Dixie Doubleheader Nationals
After what has seemed like nonstop bad luck to start the season, Rome, Georgia's Jake Knowles was able to bounce back with a pair of strong runs on Saturday night at Dixie Speedway in both of his Knowles Race Parts & Bodies #66 Brucebilt Performance Rocket Chassis.

“It’s felt like we’ve had nothing but bad luck to start this year, and even though Saturday might’ve started a little rough in the NeSmith Dirt Late Model program we were able to bounce back and have what was definitely our best night of the year so far,” said Knowles. “Hopefully the monkey is finally off of our back and we can go get some wins.”

Jake Knowles invaded Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Georgia) on Saturday night, where he was pulling double duty with the NeSmith Dirt Late Model Series and the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series.

The night started with bad luck for the team as distributor problems resulted in no hot laps and an 11th qualifying position. He would rebound to win the B-Main, and then charged from 9th to as high as 2nd in the 50-lap, $2,500-to-win feature before ultimately registering a 3rd-place finish behind Cory Hedgecock and Ronnie Johnson.

1With 24 entries on hand for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series event, Jake earned the 7th-starting spot for the $3,000-to-win finale. He would climb five spots to finish 2nd behind Cory Hedgecock at the finish line. Jake’s performance allowed him to move up two spots in the series standings to the 4th position.
