August 20, 2017 - Jake Knowles Competes in a Pair of Bonus Series Events
On Saturday night Jake Knowles visited North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Georgia) for the Schaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Bonus Series sanctioned contest. With 43 Super Late Models on hand for the $10,000 top prize, Knowles recorded a 4th place finish in his heat race locking him into the 13th-starting position for the feature. Getting shuffled back early, Jake was an early retiree from the 60-lapper after the track saw limited passing. He was credited with a 20th place outing.

1The following night brought Knowles to Rome Speedway (Rome, Georgia) to compete in a field of 33 Bonus Series entries. Following the tenth fastest time in qualifying, Jake was forced to rely on a provisional into the feature after placing 5th in his B-Main. August 5, 2017 - Knowles Lands Podium Finish in Chevy Thunder Nationals at 411
After Mother Nature wiped out the weekend opener at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) on Friday night, Jake Knowles visited 411 Motor Speedway (Seymour, Tennessee) on Saturday for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series sanctioned contest. Drawing 17 cars for the Chevy Thunder Nationals, Knowles timed in ninth fastest in qualifying locking him into the 9th-starting spot for the $3,000-To-Win A-Main. Passing six cars in the 50-lap affair, Jake reeled in a 3rd place finish behind Cory Hedgecock and Michael Page with Austin Smith and Oliver Gentry completing the Top 5 finishers.
